This past Saturday, in front of a packed gymnasium at the BGS Brawls wrestling tournament in Concord, New Hampshire, we had the distinct honor of presenting something truly extraordinary.

We proudly awarded the very first Keeler Approved – Gold Standard to wrestling official Troy Colby.

Congratulations to the Inaugural Recipient: Troy Colby

Throughout the 2025–2026 wrestling season, Troy Colby repeatedly found himself in high-intensity situations while officiating matches involving athletes, coaches, and passionate parents. In every instance, he exemplified the Gold Standard:

• The ability to de-escalate tension while maintaining complete control of the match
• A level of professionalism that elevated the entire environment

Rather than leaning on authority alone, Troy listened, created space for others to be heard, and handled every situation with respect and awareness. His approach didn’t just manage conflict—it modeled the highest standard of officiating.
